Dog Days: Working From Home with a New Puppy

It's been awhile since I've blogged. Months, in fact. What have I missed?

I've been out of commission thanks to other projects and...our new puppy. I have a dog now, my first dog ever.

I've always been a cat person, and taking on a dog been an adjustment. In a good way, but an adjustment nonetheless. Cats only need you when they're hungry, but a puppy needs you ALL THE TIME. And I work at home, so.

The kids have been asking -- no, begging -- for a dog. For years. Pleeeeaaaaase? It will be so much fun to have a dog. We will help with the dog, too!

After awhile, as a parent, you begin to think that yes, it might be really nice to have a dog. How hard could it be to adopt a four-month old puppy that isn't potty trained, anyway?
